The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Thathri, has issued an official notification inviting applications for the engagement of Anganwadi Workers (AWW) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH/Sahayikas) under the POSHAN Project in Thathri.

According to the advertisement (Notification No. 03 of 2025), a total of nine posts have been notified for Anganwadi Centres falling within the Thathri project area. These include four posts of Anganwadi Workers and five posts of Anganwadi Helpers.

The recruitment is being carried out on an honorarium basis and will be governed strictly by the eligibility conditions, qualifications, and selection criteria laid down by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The vacancies pertain exclusively to Anganwadi Centres located within Thathri, with posts distributed across different Panchayat wards as specified in the notification. Eligibility Conditions

Only female candidates are eligible to apply. Applicants must be domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir and should belong to the same electoral ward in which the Anganwadi Centre is located. The age limit is 18 to 37 years, calculated as on January 1, 2025.

For the post of Anganwadi Worker, the minimum educational qualification prescribed is 10+2, while candidates applying for the post of Anganwadi Helper must have passed Matriculation (10th standard).

Selection Procedure

The selection will be purely merit-based. For Anganwadi Workers, merit will be assessed on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2, while for Anganwadi Helpers, marks obtained in the Matriculation examination will be considered. No interview will be conducted, and no additional criteria beyond merit will be applied.

Application Schedule

The application process will commence on January 3, 2026, and the last date for submission of applications is January 18, 2026. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed proforma and deposited physically at the designated office during working hours. Incomplete applications or those received after the last date will not be entertained.

Documents Required

Applicants are required to submit self-attested copies of educational certificates, domicile certificate, electoral roll extract of the Panchayat or ward, proof of identity, and other documents as specified in the notification.
